Choose your wedding website languages

Start with the language you naturally want to write in. LumiWed can then help you welcome guests in the languages they understand. 1. Open Content. 2. In Language Settings, choose the Primary language first. This is the language you will write your original content in. 3. Add the other Enabled languages you want on the wedding site. 4. Use the language dropdown in the page header to switch the editor into a guest-facing language and review or edit that translated copy inline. 5. Give each guest one of your enabled languages in Guests. Their invitation and wedding site will open in that language. The Free plan includes up to 2 languages. Premium includes all active LumiWed languages. Your primary language always stays enabled and counts toward your plan limit. Choose it carefully: once you confirm the language lock, changing it requires help from support.

Add your venue, schedule, and travel details

Guests mostly want to know three things: where to be, when to be there, and what will happen. You can build that calmly in Content. 1. Open Content and start with Primary Details for the event title, date, and time. 2. Add the Ceremony and Venue. Search for the place or enter the address, and add separate parking guidance when guests should park elsewhere. 3. In Schedule, add each moment in the order guests will experience it. 4. Turn on Guests can RSVP to this event for any schedule moment that should appear as a choice on the RSVP form. 5. Choose whether that moment is opted in by default. On means guests are pre-selected and can opt out; off means they actively opt in. 6. Use Travel & Stay for airports, trains, driving, hotels, shuttles, taxis, public transport, or any local note guests will need. You can also add your Relationship Timeline, Story & Custom Content, photos, and practical Good to know items. Add only what helps your guests; the site does not need to feel crowded to feel complete.

Change your theme, hero photo, and section order

Changing the look of your site should feel playful, not permanent. You can try a design and change it again later without rewriting your wedding content. 1. Open Design. 2. Browse the Theme library and use the live preview to see each style with your names and wedding details. 3. Choose the theme you want to keep. Premium themes are marked as Premium; you can preview them before upgrading. 4. Add a Hero photo if you want an image behind the opening text. You can move, zoom, and rotate it to find the right framing. 5. Add a Favicon if you want a custom little icon in the guest’s browser tab. 6. In Section Order, drag sections into the order you prefer. You can also hide, show, or rename the guest-facing section labels. Your story, schedule, and other content stay in place when you change themes. If a Premium theme is only showing as a temporary preview, upgrade to Premium before expecting that theme to stay selected.

Add your story and photos

Your site can be personal without being long. A few meaningful moments and photos are often enough. To tell your story: 1. Open Content. 2. Use Relationship Timeline to add milestones such as how you met, the proposal, or another moment you love. Drag milestones to change their order. 3. Use Story & Custom Content for a welcome note, your story, or practical sections that do not fit elsewhere. Choose whether each block belongs under Our story or Good to know. To add photos: 1. Find Photos in Content. 2. Choose one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP images and upload them. 3. Drag photos to reorder them. 4. Open a photo to crop, rotate, or choose square, portrait, or landscape framing. 5. Choose Grid, Masonry, or Carousel for the gallery layout. The Photo gallery is a Premium feature. New weddings may show sample content in Preview; it disappears from a section when you begin adding your own content there.

Preview, publish, and translate your wedding site

Preview is your quiet rehearsal. Publishing is simply the moment you open the doors for guests. Before publishing, LumiWed checks that you have both partner names, a contact email, the wedding date, a located venue, and at least one event. A theme and guest list are helpful, but they are not required to go live. 1. Choose Preview to look through the site as a guest would. Use the preview language switcher to check each enabled language. 2. Return to the dashboard and choose Publish in the sidebar. 3. Review the checklist. LumiWed will point you back to Couple or Content if a required detail is missing. 4. Confirm Publish. The wedding site goes live immediately. If you enabled more than one language, LumiWed starts preparing the translated versions at the same time. You can keep editing after publishing. To take a live site out of view for a while, open Settings and turn on Hide wedding site. Turning it off makes the same published site visible again; you do not need to publish again.
