Not every guest comes to everything. A welcome dinner for the people travelling in, a brunch for the family, a celebration that ends after the apéritif for some of your guests: you can choose exactly who sees each moment of your schedule. Guests you don't choose never see that moment on your website and are never asked about it when they RSVP.
This is part of Premium.
Choose who sees a moment:
-
Open Content, go to Schedule, and open the moment you want to restrict.
-
Next to Save, tap the people icon (Who sees this).
-
Choose Only guests I choose, then Choose guests.
-
Tick the guests who are invited and tap Save.
The quick picks at the top of the guest list save a lot of tapping:
-
Everyone and None tick or clear the whole list.
-
Your or your partner's side picks everyone you've grouped under that name.
-
Same as copies the guest list of another moment you've already restricted, so a dinner and the brunch after it take one tap.
-
Reading picks every guest who reads your site in that language. It's a one-time selection: a guest you add later isn't picked up automatically.
The moment then shows how many guests can see it in your schedule, so you can tell at a glance which moments are restricted.
You can also choose from your guest list:
-
When you add a guest, tick the moments they're invited to right in the form.
-
Select several guests in Guests and use Invite to moment to add them to a moment, or take them off it.
-
Open any guest to see and change the moments they're invited to.
-
When you import a CSV, add a moments column with the moment titles separated by semicolons, for example Welcome dinner; Brunch.
A guest you add later is not invited to restricted moments until you tick them. Their card in Guests shows what they're invited to, and the Not invited to filter finds everyone who isn't on a moment yet.
What your guests see:
-
Invited guests see the moment on your schedule and, if it takes RSVPs, get asked about it.
-
Everyone else doesn't see it anywhere: not on the schedule, not in their RSVP, and not in their confirmation email.
-
Switching the website's language never reveals it. Who sees a moment follows the guest, not the language they read in.
-
Visitors without a personal link don't see restricted moments. They see a short note that some moments are shown only with a personal invitation, with a place to enter their invitation code. Once a guest has opened their personal link, your site remembers them on that device, so they keep seeing their whole day when they come back.
Your main wedding details at the top of your site are always visible to everyone.
Headcounts and exports: guests who aren't invited to a moment are left out of that moment's numbers everywhere, including your exports and the vendor pack. If you take a guest off a moment and invite them back later, their earlier answer comes back with them.
If you're not on Premium, you'll see the upgrade screen when you try to restrict a moment. Switching a moment back to Everyone, and adding guests to a moment, always work, so you can always open things up again.
